Description
Our Client Ekwin Enterprises pty ltd located in Piara waters is looking to fill two truck driver positions to support its growing transport workload. These roles involve daily freight runs, safe vehicle operation and reliable delivery of goods to customers across the region. Drivers will work closely with the operations team to keep schedules on track and provide consistent, dependable service.
Responsibilities
- To operate heavy rigid and articulated trucks for transporting containers across Perth metropolitan areas.
- To collect, load, and deliver shipping containers safely and on schedule from ports, depots, and client sites.
- To inspect vehicles before and after each trip, ensuring roadworthiness and compliance with maintenance requirements.
- To secure containers using twist locks, chains, and approved restraint systems to prevent movement during transit.
- To plan and follow the most efficient routes while complying with WA road laws, fatigue management, and safety regulations.
- To complete delivery documentation, work diaries, and container movement records accurately.
- To liaise with dispatchers, port staff, and warehouse teams to coordinate daily runs and resolve delays.
- To operate truck-mounted equipment such as container side-loaders or forklifts (if licensed) for safe loading/unloading.
- To perform basic maintenance tasks such as checking oil, coolant, tyres, and reporting any mechanical issues promptly.
- To adhere to Chain of Responsibility (CoR) guidelines and follow company safety policies at all times.
- To handle container pickups from Fremantle Port or local depots and deliver to industrial, commercial, and construction sites.
- To maintain cleanliness of the vehicle and ensure compliance with transport and logistic documentation procedures.
- To communicate professionally with clients, providing updates on delivery status when required.
Qualifications
Minimum 3 years of experience
Minimum diploma
Valid Australian MC/HC License Required
